Outing FRIDAY, JUNE
8, 2007 Nearly 100 improvement contractors from all over Maryland braved the hot and humid weather to take part in MICA's 2007 Golf outing held on Friday, June 8 at Mount Pleasant Golf Course in Baltimore. Participants enjoyed a day of golfing with their fellow colleagues, closest to the pin contests and a luncheon and awards ceremony to top the day off. A good time was had by all who participated. Snyder Home Services was the winning foursome at the end of the day. The golfers on the winning team were Rob Mayne, Eric Rockwood, Lou Wright and Dan Daze. Coming in a close second was Matt Kavanah, Nick Roberts, Jerry Murphy and Mark Anthony of Homefix Corp. The Counter Intelligence/Kenwood Kitchen team came in third place and consisted of David and Bob Waldhauser, Phil Lande and Bruce Moffatt. The closet to the pin contests were one of the highlights of the golf outing with three golfers winning. Rob Mayne of Synder Home Services won the closest to the pin on hole 6 getting 26" to the pin. Wayne Orem of Welsh Remodeling also won the on hole 11 and Jim Rafferty, also of Welsh Remodeling, won for hole 17 getting 43" to the pin. The longest drive contest was won by Bob McFadden of Roman Co. on the first hole. One of the most talked about contests, the "Beat the MICA President" contest was won by a record seven people this year. View photos from the event below!
