MICA Announces new Lifetime Achievement Award
The Maryland Improvement Contractors Association (MICA) is proud and excited to announce that individuals who have contributed significantly to the history of Maryland's home improvement industry will now be honored with a new award.
The Morton Ehudin Lifetime Achievement Award, named in honor of one of the first presidents of MICA and the founder of G & E Contractors, will be presented each year by MICA to one or more individuals in recognition of their dedication to the Maryland remodeling industry and the consumers that are served by licensed professionals.
The initial class of honorees have been awarded to five men who served as leaders in MICA as well as the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC):
The first honorees include the award's namesake Morton Ehudin; Seymour Goldstein, Chairman of MHIC for over a decade; John Borz, President of Milton Electric and MICA, and Chairman of MHIC for five years; Sydney Kemper, Past President of MICA and MHIC Chairman, and former owner and President of Welsh Remodeling; and Steve Feldman, President of Abbott Plumbing, MICA, and a member of MHIC's commission.
In addition, a contribution will be made by the Ehudin family on behalf of the honorees to the Big Brother League of Maryland, a charity that Mr. Ehudin personally supported.
MICA would like to extend congratulations to these men and their families on their achievements in the industry and their contributions to their communities.
